I’ve been attending the Reformer Pilates classes at Back in Strength and have noticed real improvements. I love having my own personalised program, and the small class sizes mean the physio is able to support everyone closely. My program has even been adjusted when new issues have come up during the week, which I really appreciate. The regular reviews of my program also make me feel confident that my goals are being tracked and that I’m getting the most benefit from each session. I’ve interacted with most of the physio and reception team, and they are all friendly and supportive.

I always enjoy my Pilates sessions at Back in Strength Deakin where we each work to our own routines. The trainers keep an eye to make sure we’re doing them correctly and are always helpful and encouraging. Shirley and Hannalie are kind, funny but always professional and it’s a pleasant and very positive atmosphere. The sessions have definitely helped my balance and joint issues.

I totally agree with other reviewers. Outstanding, personal and friendly staff. Hannelie is my Pilates instructor, she keeps a firm eye on me, suggesting "gently" to always improve my technique. I look forward to my sessions immensley, you will not find a better studio than Back in Strength at Deakin.

I have been going to Back in Strength for the past 9 years and I can thoroughly recommend them. I initially went there when I had back problems and have never looked back. Over the years as physical issues have arisen my physiotherapist, Hannelee has treated me with kindness, sensitivity and guided me in targeted exercise programs to assist in healing. The exercises are at times challenging and she constantly monitors my progress and adjusts the exercises as needed. Shirley is also great and I am so grateful for both their care. Small group clinical Pilates is the best! A customised program with regular reviews means I am always progressing or targeting and new niggles or issues. Having my physio present with only 3 or 4 other people means I get that focus and personal attention that means I get the best out of every class and can be sure I am doing every exercise correctly. Hannalie is great at adapting anything to my particular needs at all times. Highly recommended!

I have been seeing Shirley for 3 weeks for chronic hip and knee pain that has been impacting my ability to walk for several years. The improvement that I have seen is almost unbelievable. My pain levels have significantly decreased, I have more flexibility in my knee and hip and feel stronger when walking. Would definitely recommend Back in Strength and Shirley.

Jean was amazing! Friendly, evidence-based and positive. First went to see her when I was in huge pain and facing surgery. She took the time to work out how to reduce my pain and started me on a program to treat my injury. Several months later - no pain, no weakness and no need for surgery. Highly recommended!

First time goer and not the last! Hamish spent time hearing about my injury and a doable plan was made for me. The app they use lets me remember what exercises I have to do and the ability to touch base during visits using the app keeps myself and Hamish on the same page. Strongly recommend Back In Strength.

The best physio practice in Canberra!
Everyone is so friendly and professional and l thoroughly enjoy my Pilates classes. One on one treatment sessions are very be beneficial too.
I've recommended them a few times on a couple of fb groups I'm in and others have seconded the recommendation.
Definitely the best at what they do.

I have been attending Back in Strength for 5 years. I started Clinical Pilates, for a back condition, with Anne, then Jo and now Maeve, all who provide a professional approach to rehab. Working with me, they have developed and supervised an exercise program designed for my condition, with regular reviews and updating. Their knowledge and holistic approach has enabled me to improve strength, endurance, standing and sitting tolerances. I continue to attend weekly and cannot imagine otherwise. Highly recommend.

Working with me, they have developed and supervised an exercise program designed for my condition, with regular reviews and updating. The Back-in-Strength Physios are amazing, I have been going to them for four years after some major injuries and extensive back surgery. They helped with my rehab and now I choose to continue with weekly clinical Pilates classes and live a pain free life. I have had classes with many of the physios and would recommend them all - currently with the awesome Maeve.
