Looking for Post-Natal Pilates in Canberra?
Recovering after pregnancy and childbirth, caring for a newborn and coping with sleepless nights, can lead to fatigue and deconditioning. Our Post-Natal Classes allow you to rediscover your strength and vitality, improve your core strength, enhance your pelvic floor function and reduce the risk of injury. Back in Strength offers a supervised class, where you will be carefully assessed and guided through safe and appropriate exercises.
About the Class:
- 55 minutes long
- 8 people per class
- Beginners to Intermediate
- Run by a physiotherapist
- Claimable on private health
You will be exercising with other new mothers and their babies, so it can be quite a social event. We ask that you come with a baby blanket, some special toys and ideally before your baby is too mobile (our Pilates studio is not safe for crawling babies). Some of our exercises can be done whilst holding or cradling your baby, others while they are laying by your side. If you want to focus on yourself during this time and you have babysitting, you can come by yourself.
